10th - SQL Server User Group Meeting
SQL Server File Groups
Brian Ezell, Database Administrator for the Ohio
Department of Public Safety, will show us how SQL Server File Groups can be
used to improve performance by splitting up large databases and can also be
used to make partial restores available in a pinch. This presentation will
cover how to setup them and use them in an efficient manner.
Setting Up and Configuring SQL Server 2008 R2
Application and Multi-Server Management
Charles Tournear, Senior Consultant at Result Data,
will walk through the steps to setup and configure Multi-Server Management
in SQL Server Management Studio. He will also demonstrate setting up
a server for Application Management in SSMS; creating a Visual Studio
application package; modifing the package in Visual Studio 2010 and then
upgrading the application on SQL Servers.
